KEY ISSUES

  • No one should have to choose between seeing a doctor and paying rent. Cordelia supports expanding access to healthcare, including mental health, preventative care, and maternal health services. She believes every person should have the freedom to make personal medical decisions without government interference.

  • Cordelia believes every Arkansas child should have access to a world-class public education. She will fight to fund classrooms, provide universal free breakfast and lunch, support educators, and improve educational outcomes for all students.

  • It’s time for an economy that works for the people. Cordelia supports investing in job training, raising wages, and helping small businesses, not just big corporations.

  • As a U.S. Air Force veteran and current Prevention Coordinator with the Army National Guard, Cordelia knows firsthand the sacrifices service members make and the challenges they face after coming home. She’s committed to ensuring veterans have access to the healthcare, mental health support, housing, and job opportunities they’ve earned. No one who served this country should have to fight for basic services.

  • Cordelia spent years working as a probation officer, helping people get their lives back on track. She believes in rehabilitation, not just punishment. That means expanding access to mental health and addiction services, removing barriers to re-entry, and investing in programs that help people build stable lives. A fairer justice system means safer, stronger communities for everyone.

  • In a healthy democracy, the people (not the politicians) should have the final say. Whether it’s casting a vote or signing a petition, Cordelia will fight to make sure your voice counts and your rights are respected.  That means protecting our constitutional right to bring issues directly to the ballot and stopping politicians from making it harder for Arkansans to participate in our democracy.

  • Rent prices are rising across Sherwood and North Little Rock, with long-time residents being pushed out by rising costs and outside investors. She’s intending to cap rent hikes, expand rental assistance, and hold landlords accountable with a Tenant Bill of Rights. Cordelia will fight for affordable housing incentives to make sure our communities stay livable for working families.

  • Parents across District 70 are struggling to find affordable, nearby childcare. This is keeping people, especially women and military spouses, out of the workforce. Cordelia will push for state-funded childcare, expand pre-K access, and make it easier to open licensed in-home daycares.

  • Our kids have too few safe places to go after school. We can’t just police the problem, real change starts with prevention. Cordelia will expand after-school programs, summer youth jobs, mentorships, and community-based violence interrupters.

  • Tired of seeing new fast food and storage units while real careers are nowhere to be found? Cordelia is just as fed up. As Congresswoman, she would bring job training in trades, healthcare, and IT to District 70. Also fund small business grants, invest in Black and women-owned startups, and demand high-quality employers, not just minimum wage chains.

  • Some roads in Park Hill and Sherwood are crumbling, and public transit is unreliable or nonexistent. Cordelia is going to fight for funding to fix roads, add sidewalks, and expand local transit routes so people can get to work and school safely. To also include the push for broadband internet expansion, so no one is left behind.

  • There are parts of North Little Rock and Crystal Hill where families can’t access a full grocery store. Big chains like Walmart have pushed out local grocers , and when they shut down or leave, they leave entire neighborhoods without a single place to buy fresh food. Cordelia will support mobile markets, farmers markets, and incentives to bring independent grocers back into underserved communities.
