District 70

Attention Sherwood & North Little Rock!

Sanders Announces SPECIAL ELECTION to Fill Vacancy in Office for State Representative for District 70.

Sanders’ proclamation set the Special election for March 3rd, 2026.

District 70, we had to take our own governor to court just to make her follow the law. I was part of that lawsuit because our district was about to go more than 250 days without representation, even though the law clearly says no district should go past 150.

That wasn’t a mistake. That was a choice and it was a choice that would’ve silenced Sherwood and North Little Rock during one of the most important legislative periods of the year.

But we didn’t stay quiet. We spoke up! We stood up! We won! The courts forced the state to set a legal election date, not because they wanted to, but because we demanded it!

District 70, our voice matters. And if we want real change, it starts with us. This was just the beginning.

Enough with politics as usual. Our community deserves a representative who fights for the people, not the powerful.
— Cordelia Smith-Johnson

We’re building more than a run for office — we’re building a movement rooted in unity, integrity, and real representation. Led by Cordelia Smith-Johnson, a working mom, veteran, and unapologetic advocate for everyday Arkansans, this campaign is powered by us, the parents, teachers, veterans, workers, and neighbors who are tired of being ignored.

We’re not waiting for change.
We’re creating it! Together.

Because District 70 deserves leadership that listens, acts, and fights for all of us.
